On the 30th of September, the 13th season on the Indian Premier League witnessed some great performances from the Indian youngsters when Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Rajasthan Royals by 37 runs registering their second consecutive win in the tournament and also stopping RR from getting their 3 consecutive wins.
With yesterday’s defeat, KKR is the only team in IPL 2020 to have 2 consecutive wins with a chance of a hat trick win, while no team is not unbeaten in IPL 2020.
With the win, KKR climbed up to second place in the IPL 2020 points table. Shah Rukh Khan, the co-owner of the Kolkata-based IPL franchise, was spotted cheering the team from the stands at the Dubai International Stadium on Wednesday.
After the win from KKR, master blaster, Sachin Tendulkar, himself lavished praise on Shubman Gill, Eoin Morgan and Andre Russell for their contribution and had a special mention for the young fast-bowler Kamlesh Nagarkotiwho not only changed the game with his bowling but also his fielding, taking 2 wonderful catches.
Replying to Tendulkar’s tweet Shah Rukh Khan also expressed his happiness after watching his team’s youngsters shine.

In the match against Rajasthan Royals, Shubman Gill played a vital knock of 47 and an unbeaten 34 from Eoin Morgan helped KKR post a competitive total of 174 for a loss of 6 wickets.
Chasing 175 to win the game, Rajasthan Royals got off to a poor start as they lost their skipper Steve Smith in the second over of the inning. Pat Cummins accounted for Smith, who faced seven deliveries and could only score three runs.
In the 5th over of the inning, Shivam Mavi had sent back the dangerous Sanju Samson as the wicketkeeper-batsman mistimed his pull shot and handed the ball straight into the hands of Sunil Narine.
Soon, in his next spell, Mavi struck again and sent Jos Buttler back to the dressing room after only letting him score 21 runs.
Kamlesh Nagarkoti the young Indian cricketer, playing his second IPL game, bowled just two overs and picked up two crucial wickets of Robin Uthappa and Riyan Parag.
Tom Curran scored his maiden IPL fifty and stopped Net Run Rate for Rajasthan Royals taking a huge hit as they fell 37 runs short of the target. Rajasthan will next play against Royal Challengers Bangalore in Abu Dhabi on Saturday at 3:30 PM (IST) while Kolkata Knight Riders will take on Delhi Capitals at the iconic Sharjah Cricket Ground on Saturday itself at 7:30 PM (IST).
