Mumbai Indians became the only team to win 5 IPL titles and the only second Indian Premier League franchise to win back-to-back IPL titles after Chennai Super Kings as MI defeated Delhi Capitals by 5 wickets in Dubai on Tuesday.
The 5 time IPL winners took it to Twitter to share a video of their skipper Rohit Sharma giving a speech to the entire squad in the dressing room where he thanked everyone for their contribution in the campaign which held in the United Arab Emirates.
Rohit called the Mumbai based franchise “one family”.

In the video shared by Mumbai Indians, Rohit Sharma can be heard thanking all the families for their sacrifices and thanked them for ensuring that the players remained in the right zone to play the matches in IPL.
Rohit said, “One last thank you to our families who have been here with us making sure that they sacrifice and be with us and making sure that we are in the right zone to play the game. All the families have been brilliant. We’ve actually had a great time together and that is what one family means. We were literally one family,”.
After a string of low scored and recovery from a hamstring injury, Rohit Sharma performed a captain’s inning and hit a half century during IPL 2020 Final. Rohit scored 68 runs from 51 balls hitting 4 sixes and 5 boundaries.
Rohit’s inning helped Mumbai Indians chase down the modest score of 157 runs with 8 balls remaining as they went on to lift the IPL trophy for the 5th time.
Rohit Sharma, in the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League, scored 332 runs in 12 matches he played with a strike rate of more than 127.
Rohit has not been included in India’s upcoming One-Day International and Twenty20 International squad during India’s tour of Australia but has been added to the team for the Test series after it was revised by the BCCI,
The Test matches will begin from the 17th of December.
