The legendary manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, joined the 26 players and staff of Manchester United on their journey to Gdansk, Poland where they will play the UEFA Europa League final.
Manchester United’s manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, is attempting to recreate the spirit of 1999, as Sir Alex Ferguson has accompanied the Manchester United squad to the Europa League final against Villarreal which will be played on the 27th of May at 12:30 AM (Indian Standard Time).
The Red Devils are just 1 match away from securing the first piece of silverware of the Solskjaer era.

On Monday afternoon, the Man Unt squad departed for their Thursday’s match and Sir Alex Ferguson joined the travelling party on the flight.
Even though Ferguson saw the most trophy-laden spell in the history of Manchester United, Solskjaer has played his part on the field under the Scot.
Solskjaer’s most famous moment came at Barcelona’s Camp Nou, in 1999 when Manchester United scored twice in injury time to beat Bayern Munich 2-1 in the UEFA Champions League final where the Norwegian netted the winner for the Red Devils.
It is now Solskjaer’s, however, Ferguson still carries gravitas and will continue to provide moral support and words of wisdom if and when needed.
Though there are doubts over the fitness of some key defender from the Man Utd side, Harry Maguire, owing to an injury, he was on the flight with the rest of the squad to Gdansk.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is bringing a 26 players squad with him to face Villarreal. Anthony Martial has returned to training, however, he has not travelled with the squad.
