The National Basketball Association (NBA) along with the National Basketball Players Association, today, announced that LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers are leading the top spots on the NBA’s Most Popular Jersey and Team Merchandise lists.
The results are based on the sales from the NBAStore.com and for the First Half of the 2020-21 NBA season.
The Brooklyn Nets’position (#2) on the team merchandise list marks the franchise’s highest ranking ever and also has three players in the top 10 on the jersey list with Kevin Durant at No. 3, Kyrie Irving at No. 6 and James Harden at No. 9.
Zion Williamson who is ranked no. 10 of the New Orleans Pelicans cracks the top 10 in jersey sales for the first time in his career.
The Trae Young from Atlanta Hawks made his debut on the jersey list and is ranked no. 14.
TNT has also tipped off its coverage of the Second Half of the season tonight with a doubleheader as the Nets host the Boston Celtics at 7:30 PM ET (6:00 AM IST on Saturday) and the Golden State Warriors visit the LA Clippers at 10:00 PM ET (8:30 AM IST on Saturday).
