The Indian Premier League franchises, Royal Challenger Bangalore (RCB) and SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) went head to head in their opening match for IPL 2020 in Dubai at the Dubai International Stadium on Monday.
RCB won the match with 10 runs and Yuzvendra Chahal was the star for RCB during SRH’s chase, grabbing three wickets in four overs.
Chahal’s performance was so crucial that even captain Virat Kohli hailed his display in the opening Monday’s match. Chahal took the decisive wickets of Jonny Bairstow, Manish Pandey and Vijay Shankar.
Kohli, during the post-match press conference said, “Yuzi came in and changed the game for us,”.
Kohli added, “Tonight he showed that if you have skill, you can get purchase on any wicket and the way he came in and bowled attacking lines and he was the one in my opinion who changed the game,”.
Apart from Chahal, RCB skipper also praised, who scored the maiden half-century. Aaron Finch and AB de Villiers also put in good displays with the bat. The Indian captain also spoke about how his side remained positive throughout the match.

SunRisers Hyderabad’s skipper David Warner felt that his team were not lucky during the match, he pointed out the injury sustained by Mitchell marsh which proved very costly for his team.
Warner’s dismissal was unfortunate itself.
Warner also felt that Chahal’s final over was the decisive point in the match. Warner said, “Probably the last over of Chahal was the turning point out there,”.
The former Australian skipper also said, “We have to go back to the drawing board; we obviously can’t fix what happened today but we have to go back and work hard before our next game in Abu Dhabi,”.
RCB will face Kings XI Punjab in their next IPL 2020 match which will be played on the 24th of September, while SunRisers Hyderabad will take on the Kolkata Knight Riders on the 26th of September.
