The Indian Premier League franchise Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), on Sunday, took it to Twitter and gave their fans a sneak peek into their team room in Abu Dabhi. The two time IPL winners landed in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Thursday to participate in the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League.
This year’s IPL was moved out of India given the rising cases of the novel Coronavirus in the country. Today, Delhi Capitals and SunRisers Hyderabad, too, reached UAE making all the 8 franchises present.

IPL 2020 will start on the 19th of September with Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings playing the first match of the tournament, interestingly, they two faced each other in the final match of IPL 2019 where Mumbai Indians won the match and the IPL title.

IPL 2020 will end on the 10th of November.

In the 12th edition of IPL, KKR finished 5th of the points table which resulted in them not being able to qualify for the play-offs.
Despite having the purple cap winner of IPL 2019, Andre Russell, Kolkata Knight Riders lost too many games last season.
Purple Cap is given to the player with most wickets taken in the tournament.
As the 13th edition of IPL comes near, the Jamaican Cricketer, Andre Russell is gearing up well for the tournament as he smashed a quick-fire half-century off just 38 deliveries in a knock which included five sixes in the Caribbean Premier League game which was played on Saturday.
KKR have instated Brendon McCullum as their head coach for IPL 2020 who holds the record for the 1st century in IPL which he scored in the very first match of the first ever IPL.
Starting September, IPL matches will be played at three venues, which are Abu Dabhi, Dubai and Sharjah. In total 60 games will be played in 53 days.
Interestingly, this will not be the first time UAE will host the Indian Premier League. Back in 2014, while general elections were held in India, UAE rose to the occasion and hosted the T20 tournament.
