Highlights:
- In the T20 World Cup, India defeated Pakistan by four wickets.
- By scoring 82 points off of just 53 balls, Kohli stole the show.
- Rauf claimed that Kohli’s timing on the infamous six he hit at the MCG was impeccable.
Haris Rauf has claimed that Virat Kohli would fail to replicate the iconic shot he played during the T20 World Cup 2022 to hit the pacer for a six during India’s clash with Pakistan.
On October 23, when the two fierce rivals faced off at the historic MCG, Pakistan managed 159 runs in their allotted 20 overs while losing eight wickets. India lost four wickets for just 31 runs, which put them in serious trouble.
Then, with four wickets left, Kohli went back in time by playing one of the best innings in competition history to give India the victory. Six fours and four sixes were part of the star batter’s innings, which saw him score 82 runs off 53 balls.
When Kohli struck Rauf for back-to-back sixes, with the first one becoming the buzz of the town due to his fantastic shot, it was one of the turning points of the game.

A fan questioned Rauf about the six during Pakistan’s popular show “Hasna Mana Hai.” According to the Pakistani pacer, who was quoted by NDTV, the shot went for a six did affect him personally.

Rauf continued by stating that Kohli might not succeed once more because he believes such shots are relatively rare. The Indian star’s timing, according to the pacer, was impeccable.
“Of course, it hurt when that went for a six. I didn’t say anything but it hurt me personally. I thought something wrong had happened. Anyone who knows cricket knows what sort of a player he is. He has played that shot now; I don’t think he can do that again. Such shots are quite rare, you can’t hit them again and again. His timing was perfect, and it went for a six,” said Rauf.
