Chris Paul found Jae Crowder in rhythm for the high-achievement assist. With his final assist of the Suns’ Game 2 NBA Finals victory over the Bucks on Thursday, Chris Paul delivered himself a boost up a major playoff record list, passing Kobe Bryant for 10th in career playoff assists.
The assist to Jae Crowder, who fittingly nailed a mid-range jumper, was the 1,041st assist of Paul’s postseason career, which he managed to achieve in 125 games (8.3 Average Per Game). Scottie Pippen is next with 1,048 assists, and Paul could very well rise as high as 7th during the Finals, with Steve Nash (who currently sits at 8th with 1,061 assists) and Larry Bird (who ranks 7th with 1,062 assists) sitting back-to-back just 13 assists up the ladder.
