Virat Kohli is famous but even then he excels at the art of getting attention both on and off the field. On Sunday, at the Annual Awards Night hosted by the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India), the India skipper managed to do it yet again. He posed a big bright smile for the camera at the event while sitting next to Krishnamachari Srikkanth, the former Indian skipper.
The India Cricket Team’s official Instagram account shared the picture and captioned “Shine like the Skip!”.
The picture got immense love, as fans commented on, liked, and shared the post.
Fans will see Virat Kohli on the field next Tuesday as India start their ODI (One Day International) series against Australia.
Indian will host Australia for a 3 match ODI series which will end on the 19th of January 2020 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore (Bengaluru). India would want to continue their top form and the winning streak as earlier in the year India won T20I (Twenty20 International) series played against Sri Lanka 2-0 as the first match was called off due to rain.
Jasprit Bumrah – at the BCCI Annual Awards – won the prestigious Polly Umrigar Award which was presented by non-other than the BCCI’s Secretary Jay Shah himself. The Polly Umrigar award is awarded to the best Male International Cricketer. The awardee also gets a cheque worth Rs. 15 lakh along with a trophy and citation.
Coming to the Women Cricket, Poonam Yadav was honoured with the award of the Best International Women Cricketer.
K Srikkanth also received the Col. C K Naydu Lifetime Achievement Award.
