Highlights:

• As a result of a knee injury, Mark Andrews, the tight end with the Ravens, was listed as doubtful for Thursday Night Football.
• During a catch for 6 yards that took place with 11:25 still left in the second quarter, Andrews suffered an injury to his right shoulder.
• He immediately sprinted off the field while gripping his shoulder and went straight for the medical tent on the sidelines.

The Baltimore Ravens have announced that tight end Mark Andrews will not be available for the remainder of their “Thursday Night Football” game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Andrews suffered an injury earlier in the game.

In the first part, Andrews dropped with a shoulder injury and was originally listed as doubtful to return. However, in the second half, his status was changed to indicate that he would not be playing again.

Along with him was wide receiver Rashod Bateman, who also left the game because of a foot injury. It has not been determined how severe each of the two injuries is; however, more testing is anticipated.

When questioned about Andrews’ condition during the broadcast at halftime, head coach John Harbaugh stated that he wasn’t offering any information at the moment and that he was concentrating on the remainder of the game that was in front of them. Harbaugh could not provide a report on Andrew.

Andrews had a performance in Week 7 in which he did not make any receptions, but in Week 8, inside the first two plays of the game, he made two receptions for 24 yards. However, following that, he and Jackson only spoke to one another once. Andrews finished the half with three catches for a total of 33 yards before going to the locker room.

Thus far this season, he has 39 catches, 455 yards receiving, and five touchdowns to his name.

Andrews still participated in 88 percent of snaps, which is a somewhat lower number than his typical amount, and had a 94.7-percent route involvement rate, which is on-level with his league average for that statistic. There actually weren’t any indicators in Andrews’ baseline data as to whether or not his previous knee injury had an effect on his performance.

Andrews finished the previous season with a target share of 26.5%, ranking him comfortably first among TEs and 14th overall among all positions. This was an increase from the 23.7% share he garnered in regular games in 2020 and from the 23.4% share he had in 2019.

The injury of Andrews was not the only setback that befell Baltimore. Rashod Bateman, a wide receiver (foot), did not make the roster. After suffering a hamstring injury, cornerback Marlon Humphrey was listed as doubtful to come back, but he played in the second half nevertheless.
