Wimbledon 2022 has reached its middle with third-round matches underway at the All-England Club.
Even though it may still be early, there is still room for the prediction of the tournament final, which will be played on Centre Court next Sunday, as well as the winner of the elusive trophy.
Earlier Wimbledon had three favourites. Besides Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic, experts also placed Matteo Berrettini among the favourites.
But sadly Matteo Berrettini withdrew from the tournament after testing positive for Covid-19.
Rafael Nadal may have won the first two grand slams of 2022 but he is not the odds-on favourite to win the men’s singles at Wimbledon.
Djokovic, who has won the last three Grand Slams at Wimbledon, is attempting to defend his title this year.
Winning Wimbledon 2022 crown will take him to 21 Grand Slam titles.
With World No 1 Daniil Medvedev banned from playing and Alexander Zverev injured, Novak Djokovic has been given the top seeding for Wimbledon 2022.
When it comes to winning major championships, Novak Djokovic now has a Grand Slam record of 20-11, including 6 victories and 1 defeat at Wimbledon.
If Novak Djokovic wins Wimbledon 2022, he will become only the third male player to capture seven singles titles at the grass court competition.
