Stephen Curry’s standing in the Golden Gate Warriors lore just rose even higher in their franchise record books as the renowned shooter now holds the title of being the team’s all-time assists leader as he surpassed the record-holder, Guy Rodgers, on Tuesday morning in the match against Los Angeles Lakers.

Rodgers, who is a Hall of Fame guard played during the franchise’s Philadelphia and San Francisco eras in the 1960s, and had sat atop the team’s assists list for 55 years before Curry finally passed him on Tuesday morning (IST).

Curry now ranks first all-time in Warriors assists, 3-pointers, and free-throw percentage. The two-time Kia Most Valuable Player (MVP) is also within the striking distance of Wilt Chamberlain and Chris Mullin for the franchise marks in points and steals, respectively.
