The Spanish footballer Jese Rodriguez Ruiz has shared a dressing room with the superstar French footballer Kylian Mbappe for several seasons and believe that he would be a great fit at the Bernabeu.
The 22 year old start player Kylian Mbappe who plays for the French giants Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) would jump at the chance to join Real Madrid, said his former teammate in the French capital Jese.
Mbappe’s future has been called into question at several occasions in the recent time given the talks to extend his contract at Parc des Princes have made little to no progress.
Kylian Mbappe’s current deal will expire at the end of the 2021-22 season, and if the negotiations do not prosper, PSG might be forced to choose between cashing in on one of their most valuable assets or risking a free transfer 18 months from now.
Los Blancos have long been linked to be a likely destination for the Frenchman if he wishes to leave, and Jese, 27, who has represented both the Spanish giants as well as PSG, is certain the forward would be more than happy for such a move.
Talking to El Partidazo de COPE, Jese said, “He would love to go to Real Madrid,” on Wednesday.
Jese said, “His idol has always been Cristiano (Ronaldo). He loves Madrid and I am sure he will play there one day.”
Jese who currently plays at Las Palmas after seeing his time at both Real Madrid and PSG owing to his injury misfortune and poor playing form.
Back in December, his contract at Parc des Princes was terminated after he featured just once for the club in the entire 2020-21 season and he is now hoping to rebuild his career at his hometown club.
Speaking to El Partidazo de COPE he said, “I am keen to talk about football. I have to leave the past behind and now I want to focus on football.
“I have always given my all but in the end things haven’t worked out.
“A lot of people assumed I was finished. That motivates me even more to train and play well. I had offers from Turkey, Mexico, Saudi Arabia … I am here because I have my loved ones close by as well as the club’s support.”
Even though Jese is keen on letting bygone be bygones, he cannot help but recall the time when he picked up the ligament injury against Schalke back in 2014, which had forced him out for a long period, coming at a time when he was being dubbed as the Next Great at Real Madrid.
He admitted, “I have gone over the Schalke injury many times in my head”.
He said, “Clearly it marked my sporting career. It was like driving a Ferrari at 300km/h and crashing. Now you have to start fresh and fix it.”
