The former Italy International forward Antonio Cassano is not a huge fan of the Argentine whose future is yet again has been called into question at the Turin.
Antonio Cassano has come forward to slam the 27 year old Juventus striker Paulo Dybala, saying that he is not even worth the money he is asking for to sign the new deal at Juventus, adding, that Dybala “sh*ts himself” when he is put under pressure.
As of now, Dybala is contracted with Seria A Champions, Juventus, until 2022 and is yet to agree to the terms of extension on his contract which has sparked rumours of a departure from Turin.
Andrea Pirlo, head coach of Juventus, has attempted to play down the talks of Dybala’s exit from the club when last month he said, “champions like him are always fundamental in strong teams.”
In a discussion on the official Twitch channel of the former Italy forward Christian Vieri, Cassano said, “All his coaches at Juventus did not consider him necessary, so I wonder if he is a champion or a great player”.
On the discussion, he said, “For me he is not a champion, he does not make the difference. He has (scored) good goals like I saw (Antonio) Di Natale and (Lorenzo) Insigne do. But if you want to take Juventus’ No.10 (shirt), you have to be at a higher level.
“I have the feeling that, when they put pressure on him, he sh*ts himself!
“And then he asks for €10m per season? Oh, please!” he said.
In the match against Udinese on Monday, Dybala was able to find the back of the net and Pirlo did not waste a moment to stress how important Dybala was in the match.
Pirlo said, “We need Dybala, he needs us,” and added that “He worked very well during the week in training, we could tell during the match that he was in better physical condition and we kept him on to the end because we hoped he would score that goal.”
The Argentine footballer could be set to play a major part in the match against AC Milan which will be played at 1:15 AM (IST) as Alvaro Morata has been ruled out of Juventus’ playing XI due to an injury.
AC Milna currently sits top of the table with 10 points advantage over the current Serie A champions Juventus who have a game in hand over the Rossoneri.
