India Tour Of Australia: Head To Head Stats At Canberra, Last Match Of ODI Series

India did not get the start to the tour of Australia which they would have hoped for as they have lost two back-to-back One Day International (ODI) matches at the Sydney Cricket Ground in what was a 3 match ODI series.

The third and the final match of this series will be played in Canberra at the Manuka Oval on Wednesday i.e. 2^nd December 2020. Though India has already lost the series, the team in blue would be looking forward to avoiding a complete whitewash.

However, the history is not on Virat Kohli’s side as they get ready to get into the match. India and Australia have played just one game at the Manuka Oval which is situated in the Australian capital. The match was played back in 2016 and in that game, the hosts outplayed MS Dhoni’s side by 25 runs.

Only two players in the Indian squad remains from that match – Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan – and none of the other players are representing the country in the ongoing series in Australia.

Though both Kohli and Dhawan scored a ton in the game of 2016, India still fell short 25 runs of the 349 run target.

In the ongoing ODI series, the Indian bowlers have failed to leave an impression and were seen struggling taking wickets of the players in yellow. Even the likes of Jasprit Bumrah and Yuzvendra Chahal failed to make a difference.

Bumrah had forgettable outings in the 2 matches played in this series as the fast bowler only managed to take 2 wickets but conceded whopping 152 runs.

Indian star spinner, Chahal, too, failed to make an impression as in the 19 overs he bowled in the 2 matches he conceded 160 runs and picked just 1 wicket.

In the first ODI, Chahal became the most expensive Indian spinner in the 50-over format as he conceded 89 runs from his quota of 10 overs.

In the ODI series played against New Zealand earlier this year, India suffered a whitewash and will need a special performance from the India bowlers if they want to avoid another clean sweep in an away series in the One Day Internationals.

Indian Skipper will only play the 1^st test match of the India Vs Australia Test Series as he will be returning to India post the match on paternal leave.
