Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore were two franchises of the Indian Premier League 2020 who has a phenomenal start to the campaign and were among the top 3 positions on the points table but towards the end both the teams had to depend on mathematical formulas and Net Run Rate to make it to the playoffs.
With DC claiming the 2nd position, RCB also made it through based on NRR and sealed the 4th position of the IPL 2020 points table even after losing their last league stage match against Delhi Capitals.
Walking into the game RCB would be the underdogs riding on the back of four consecutive loses while their opponent in playoff come in with a lot of momentum as they defeated the defending champions Mumbai Indians by 10 wickets to cement their position in the playoffs.
At one stage in the tournament, it seemed like SRH would be the first of the 4 teams to fly out of the United Aram Emirates but towards the end they pulled up their socks and cemented the 3rd spot on the IPL 2020 points table.
Courtesy of a hat-trick of wins to culminate their league stage campaign on a high, David Warner’s side could not have found a better time to get their momentum back.
Among the 3 teams they beat back to back were Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore making the tally reach 1-1 for them in IPL 2020.
One thing which is sure is that the RCB and SRH eliminator will be a nail-biter.

Having said this, the winner of this match will have to pass another hurdle before meeting MI in the tournament finale. The winner of today’s match will face Delhi capitals next.
Over the last week of IPL 2020, the Hyderabad based franchise has been performing time after time and avoided mistakes. The huge wins against big teams including defeating DC by 88 runs and defending champions MI by 10 wickets must have surged their confidence level.
Talking about RCB, again, the team seems to be witnessing their campaign crumbling down in front of their eyes and skipper Kohli would be a worried man just hours after celebrating his 32nd birthday.
Needing just one win to seal the top-two spot and a berth in Qualifier 1, RCB failed to get across the line as they were defeated four consecutive times, making them to remain content with a fourth-place finish on the points table that too by the virtue of NRR or it would have been Kolkata Knight Riders in.
Match Prediction
It is a do or die for both the teams today, but given how well SRH is performing and the only team to maintain a positive NRR apart from Mumbai Indians in IPL 2020 even before defeating MI by 10 wickets speaks volume about the depth of the team line-up. And for that reason, we think SunRisers Hyderabad will emerge as the winners from this game and face Delhi Capitals in the second eliminator on the 8th of November at the same stadium where they will play today’s match.
