The schedule for the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League which will be hosted by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has been announced and defending champions Mumbai Indians will be facing Chennai Super Kings in the opening match of the Tournament on the 19th of September.
Interestingly, Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings also clashed in the finale of IPL 2019 where the Chennai based franchise was bested by the Mumbai team.
The first match will be played in Abu Dhabi at 7:30 PM IST (1930 hours).
Mumbai Indian will also play the last match of IPL 2020 of the league phase, which ends on the 3rd of November in Sharjah at 7:30 PM IST against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Dubai will host its first game of IPL on Sunday, 20th September when Delhi Capitals will take on Kings XI Punjab. Dubai will also host the 3rd match of the tournament which will be played on Monday, 21st September between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Sharjah, the third city in UAE where IPL matches will be played, will host its first match on the 22nd of September at 7:30 PM IST when Rajasthan Royals will go head-on against Chennai Super Kings.
In total, there will be 10 doubleheaders.
Venues for the playoffs and the final will be announced at a later stage.
In total Abu Dhabi will host 20 round-robin games, Dubai will host 24matches, and Sharjah will host 12.

The 13th edition of the India Premier League will be hosted by the United Aram Emirates from the 19th of September all the way until 10th of November. It will be a 53-day event, making it three days longer than the last two seasons of IPL.
